Our Upcoming Projects
Identified Needs
There are currently over 50 children ranging in grade levels all crammed into one classroom with limited light and flooring that is uneven and unsafe.
Due to structural damage in approximately 12 classrooms, the conditions do not allow for learning to flourish nor does it allow for tailored teaching by subject and grade level.
Proposed Solutions
The Movement’s next project will focus on upgrading the infrastructure of 12 classrooms at C.E.M Ousmane Soce Diop Middle School.
The estimated cost to upgrade each classroom is $10,000.
These upgrades include the repair of the roof, new windows, adequate lighting, paint, white board and flooring.
Impact
Aside from the health problems, a clean classroom will provide a profound impact on the students’ mental and physical health, while supporting their overall academic development.
